B.C. man enters plea in stepchild’s death

An Abbotsford, B.C., man accused of slashing his stepdaughter’s throat has pleaded not guilty in a Washington state courtroom to first-degree murder.

A court-appointed lawyer entered the plea on behalf of Peter Wilson, 29, during a epitome denunciation judicial examination Monday in Mason County Superior Court.

Sask. doctor ordered deported can stay

A doctor working in a small Saskatchewan town has staved right side deportation.

Language chief probing axing of long census

Canada’session power watchdog has launched each investigation into the Conservative council’sitting scrapping of the extensive census.

Albuquerque shooting kills 6

Police say six people are dull and four others are in hospital after a shooting at an Albuquerque, N.M., fibre optics manufacturer on Monday.

Authorities say one of the dead on the campus of Emcore Corp. was believed to be the gunman.

Police Chief Ray Schultz says the shooter was a former Emcore employee. Schultz said the falling was a household rape workplace shooting.
